— -- PITTSBURGH -- An injury to a fan hit by a foul ball at PNC Park caused a 23-minute delay in the second inning of a game between the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night as the woman was taken off on a stretcher from the seats behind home plate.

The fan was finding her seat with her back to the field of play as Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro fouled a ball straight back.

The ball hit the netting as well as the side of the woman's head, which was close enough for contact.

She immediately put her hand to her head and collapsed to the ground.
