— -- The University of Central Florida needed a miracle.

The Knights fell behind East Carolina, 30-26, in the final minutes of Thursday’s football game. A share of the American Athletic Conference title was on the line for UCF.

UCF received the ball back with 10 seconds remaining. The team made it to midfield, with time left for one final play.

Quarterback Justin Holman dropped back, and the receivers raced to the end zone for a “Hail Mary” desperation heave. Three East Carolina defenders were in the area, but UCF receiver Breshad Perriman somehow slipped behind them, catching the ball and racing into the end zone for a 32-30 win and a share of the AAC title with the dramatic finish.
