Heroes of the Dorm Championship Bracket Reveal

— -- The teams have been revealed. The bracket is set. The No. 1 seeds are in place.

Heroes of the Dorm has arrived. What's at stake? How about tuition for the winning team, and bragging rights as the best college Heroes of the Storm players in the nation?

Let's take a look the each bracket and highlight some of the teams.

Bracket Breakdown

A Bracket

No. 1 Seed: Waterloo - Alera

No. 2 Seed: Tennessee - We Volin

The top team in this bracket, Waterloo, holds an average game time of 18 minutes, 55 seconds and carries into bracket play six wins and no losses. It's a team with a plan: march methodically, find the picks, take objectives.

While Tennessee holds the No. 2 seed, another team to watch is Illinois (No. 5), which returns with team captain Cody "Kakisho" Chen. The assassin player looks to avenge a top-four finish last year with total victory this tournament. So far, he has found a lot of success on Lunara, and holds and overall KDA of 15.

B Bracket

No. 1 Seed: UT Arlington -- Dark Blaze

No. 2 Seed: Boston College -- Pool Plato ST

While the No. 1 seed in A Bracket has a nearly 19 minute game time, No. 1 in B Bracket offers a stark dichotomy with matches clocking in, on average, at 12:38. This is the lowest of all the teams in bracket play, and seven minutes lower than the average of all games in Heroes of the Dorm so far.

Boston College is another returning team from last year's Heroic Four, but it brings two players back: assassin Jeffrey "KingPlato" Yi and assassin Paul "Apauloh" Oh. The duo's experience will be the key for another strong push into the Heroic Four.

C Bracket

No. 1 Seed: UConn -- Tricky Turtles

No. 2 Seed: Cal Berkeley -- Golden Mishas

Continuing the trend of returning players, UConn brings back not one, not two, but four players from last year's tournament. Due to a roster complication in the round of eight, UConn wasn't able to progress, but as this year's No. 1 seed, it looks to avenge the mishap.

The bottom half brings in the returning champions, Cal Berkeley, but the team only returns in name; a fresh roster will take the banner into bracket play. From what's been shown so far, individual skill is no problem. Where it may falter is team coordination, but if it's shored up, this is a team with a strong chance to reach the Heroic Four.

D Bracket

No. 1 Seed: Arizona State -- Real Dream Team

No. 2 Seed: Toronto -- Varsity Blues

Arizona State is another team that plays fast, putting up average game times of 13:01. Michael "michaeludall" Udall, the team captain, is a versatile assassin player, bringing out heroes such as Illidan and The Lost Vikings. Team coordination is on point, too, bringing ASU an easy No. 1 seed in D Bracket.

Toronto carries Canada's hopes into Heroes of the Dorm. The team plays a heavy assassin-based game (three players come in playing the role), anchored by assassin player Luckyswan. She focuses on finding synergistic team comps to cater toward the team's favored play style.
