Jets QB Geno Smith to sit out 6-10 weeks with broken jaw

— -- New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith will miss six to 10 weeks after suffering a broken jaw in a locker room altercation.

Coach Todd Bowles said Smith was hit by linebacker IK Enemkpali on Tuesday morning.

Bowles said Smith was "sucker-punched" by the linebacker. The quarterback will undergo surgery he said.

Enemkpali has been released by the team, Bowles said.
