Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid returned to the court for the first time since Jan. 30 and hit clutch free throws down the stretch to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 109-105 on Tuesday night.

Embiid, who has been rehabbing from left meniscus surgery, scored 24 points and had 6 rebounds and 7 assists in 29 minutes. He scored eight of the Sixers' last 15 points to secure the comeback victory.

The Sixers earned the win without Embiid's star running mate, Tyrese Maxey, who missed his second straight game with left hip tightness. The Thunder were without stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quad) and Jalen Williams (ankle).

Embiid was playing at an MVP-level before his injury, leading the league in scoring with 35.3 points per game to go along with 11.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists.
