Matthew Berry's very early 2016 fantasy football rankings

So, obviously, this is way too early. For rankings, I mean -- of the 2016 season. But what else am I going to do? Talk about hockey? Exactly.

So here's my initial take on positional rankings for the 2016 fantasy football season, using ESPN 10-team league standard scoring (in other words, no PPR, two RBs, two WRs, a TE and one flex). Much will change between now and August, of course. Hell, between now and the NFL draft.

More coaching moves, free agency and the draft will all have huge impacts on player value, and that's before we even get to training camp and get a sense of position battles, the health of players and more.

As you check these ranks, always look for the "time stamp," which is the date and time the ranks were last updated. But for the purposes of this, I have made a few assumptions. I think  Peyton Manning, Marshawn Lynch and Calvin Johnson will all officially retire and don't play next season. These rankings reflect that.

I am ranking players with the assumption they will all be healthy at start of the season. So, no injury knock for Andrew Luck, Le'Veon Bell, Jamaal Charles, Jordy Nelson, Kelvin Benjamin, Jimmy Graham and more.

But everything else I have kept as we currently know it. In terms of free agents, they are ranked as though they will remain on their previous teams, as there's no use in speculating where they'll land. 

After doing this, my initial reaction is that quarterback is crazy deep, as is wide receiver, while running back is a total mess and tight end has some fairly clear tiers to it.
