— -- Lifetime is really bringing the heat. Last week, they announced their upcoming projects with superstar athletes Ronda Rousey and Serena Williams, and this Saturday they will debut a new film based on the mother of Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant.

The film was produced by singer-actress Queen Latifah and her Flavor Unit team. The movie is aptly titled "The Real MVP: The Wanda Durant Story." Wanda Durant was thrust into the spotlight when her son famously dedicated his NBA MVP acceptance speech to her while expressing his gratitude for everything she had done for him and his brother.

A teary-eyed Durant gave us all the feels as he explained: "We wasn't supposed to be here. You made us believe. You kept us off the street. You put clothes on our backs, food on the table. When you didn't eat, you made sure we ate. You went to sleep hungry. You sacrificed for us. You the real MVP."

According to Deadline, the movie will tell the true story of a woman who struggled and sacrificed to raise her two sons, Kevin and Tony. Wanda is played by Cassandra Freeman while Kevin is portrayed by Daniel Bellomy.

Durant confirmed the news back in February:
