Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton is recovering from arthroscopic surgeries on both ankles this offseason, according to multiple reports Wednesday.

Middleton, a three-time All-Star, reportedly is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024-25 season.

The 32-year-old Middleton missed 55 games this past season, the bulk of time on the sideline coming after he sprained his ankle in a Feb. 6 game against the Phoenix Suns.

"He was injured, you know, through the playoffs," Bucks coach Doc Rivers said Tuesday during a broadcast for the team's summer league game. "And just played because, you know, no one else was playing. He played terrific. He had surgery in the summer, but he'll be fine by the beginning of camp, which is good for us."

Middleton averaged 15.1 points, 5.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds this past season.

Through 12 seasons, he has career averages of 16.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.2 steals between the Detroit Pistons (2012-13) and Bucks.

The Athletic first reported on the surgeries Wednesday.
