— -- MIAMI -- NL All-Star second baseman Dee Gordon has left the Miami Marlins' game against Cincinnati after sliding headfirst into first base for an infield hit and suffered a dislocated left thumb, according to reports.

Gordon came out of the game for a pinch runner in the seventh inning Saturday.

The infield hit was his third of game, and he leads the majors with 122 hits. He was chosen to start in the All-Star Game for the first time.

The Marlins were already without All-Star right fielder Giancarlo Stanton, sidelined since June 26 because of a broken left hand.
