PHILADELPHIA --  Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson will miss "significant time" with an ankle injury, coach Doug Pederson said Friday, with signs pointing to a stint on injured reserve.

Jackson suffered a high ankle sprain during Thursday night's win, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The early indication following Friday's MRI is that Jackson will not undergo surgery at this time, a source told ESPN.

The injury occurred on a punt return in the fourth quarter. Corey Ballentine made the initial tackle, but Madre Harper then hit Jackson after he was already on the ground, twisting Jackson's body over. Ballentine was flagged for lowering the helmet; Harper was not penalized.

Pederson said the play will be submitted by the Eagles to the league for review.

"It's unfortunate because of the injury, but that's something that's in the league's hands," Pederson said. "If there's any ramifications, it will come down from them."

Jackson had three catches for 34 yards in the 22-21 win over the Giants, his first game since Week 3 due to a hamstring injury.

In four games this season, Jackson has 13 catches for 155 yards and no touchdowns.

Right tackle Lane Johnson is "day-to-day" after sustaining a knee injury against the Giants, Pederson said. He also has an ankle issue that he's been dealing with all season.

Defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway, meanwhile, is out for the season with a biceps injury.

The Eagles could be getting some reinforcements soon. Pederson indicated that tackle Jason Peters, linebacker T.J. Edwards and safety/special-teams ace Rudy Ford could all return in the near future, possibly as early as next week against the Dallas Cowboys.
