Ahead of the lifting of the transaction window on Monday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers are expected to complete a deal to acquire Oklahoma City guard Dennis Schroder, sources told ESPN.

The Lakers are preparing to send the 28th overall pick in Wednesday night's NBA draft and guard Danny Green to the Thunder, sources said.

The deal can be completed as soon as noon ET on Monday.

Schroder, 27, has been one of the most sought-after guards in the trade market, and he fortifies a Lakers backcourt that potentially could lose veteran guards Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley in free agency.

The Thunder own the 25th pick in Wednesday's draft and would be adding No. 28, too, which gives Oklahoma City as many as 16 first-round picks between Wednesday and the 2026 NBA draft.

Schroder has one year and $15.5 million left on his contract and would be acquired with the intention of eventually signing him to a new contract to remain with the defending NBA champions, sources said.

Schroder had an excellent season for the Thunder, averaging 18.9 points and 4.0 assists partnered with Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
