The Minnesota Vikings have agreed on a five-year contract extension with running back Dalvin Cook that's worth $63 million, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The extension will keep Cook in Minnesota for the next six seasons.

Cook, 25, entered the fourth year of his rookie contract that will pay him $1.33 million this season.

The Vikings' 2017 second-round pick from Florida State, Cook had career highs last season with 1,135 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns.

Cook was one of the NFL's most productive running backs last season, recording the second-most yards from scrimmage per game and leading the league by averaging 11.3 yards after the catch. He recorded a first down on 40.6% of his targets, which was the third-highest mark of any running back with at least 30 targets, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
