— -- Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won't play in the team's Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle.
On Tuesday, the Warriors announced that Curry's injury had been re-evaluated, and while he's progressing, the team won't re-evaluate him again until next week. That timetable rules Curry out for Monday's NBA Finals rematch against the Cavs.
Curry rolled his right ankle late in a road victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 4.
Golden State (24-6) has won five straight games without Curry and nine in a row overall.
