West Michigan Whitecaps to don emoji jerseys Thursday

— -- The West Michigan Whitecaps, the  Detroit Tigers' Class A affiliate, will honor their Social Media Night in the most fitting way possible: with a jersey that features, seemingly, every emoji imaginable.

The team even offered a look at what the jerseys actually look like.

The Whitecaps settled on this jersey when putting it up to a vote among fans this winter. The Emoji Jersey beat out the Snap Jersey and the Buzzword Jersey.

Believe it or not, they are not the only baseball team planning on adorning their tops with emojis for one night. The Kalamazoo Growlers, a collegiate summer league team, have plans to follow in the footsteps of the Whitecaps on Aug. 13, but with a markedly different look.
