Oct. 27, 2010— -- Barnes & Noble has unveiled the Nookcolor, the first full-color, touch screen e-reader. It has a 7-inch screen and can be used to read books, magazines and newspapers, plus thousands of new titles for kids. Users can also play games, surf the web, listen to music and download apps. The Nookcolor costs $250 and ships next month.

Adobe recently released its new video editing software. Premiere Elements 9 has new features including the ability to edit video from Flip cameras and to turn your footage into cartoons. The Wall Street Journal's Katie Boehret says the program produces good-looking results, but takes time to learn.

"You kind of have to test things out as you go and try them out," Boehret said. "So you're figuring out how to use the editing process instead of actually using it and having fun trying a bunch of different effects."

The software costs $79 after a $20 mail-in rebate.
