TechBytes: Amazon Launches Kindle Textbook Rentals

Digital textbooks available for 30- to 360-day rental.

July 19, 2011— -- In today's TechBytes, good news for students. Amazon has announced a digital textbook rental program.

< p>Students can buy access to tens of thousands of textbooks for a set period of time at up to 80 percent off the purchase price.

The service isn't just for Kindles either: The textbooks can be read on Apple, Android and Microsoft Windows devices too.

In today's video game review, Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident. Games.com's Libe Goad gives this latest installment of the popular point-and-click adventure high marks for its picturesque environment and engaging storyline,

"You're given a list of items that you kind of have to find in each picture, and while this is actually challenging, it's not exactly stressful. You're not saving Earth from an alien invasion or something else. This is really something you can kind of do and kick back and relax at the same time."

Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident is available for the Nintendo Wii and retails for $30.
