TechBytes: Following Court Order, Samsung Pulls New Tablet From Trade Show

Days after it was announced, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 was pulled off display.

Sept. 5, 2011— -- In today's TechBytes, a big setback for Samsung in its battle with Apple over tablets.

On Sunday, Samsung pulled its brand new Galaxy 7.7 tablet from one of the world's largest electronics shows in Berlin. The move came after a German court banned all sales and marketing of the device.

Apple claims that Samsung's devices are copies of the iPhone and iPad.

Google Disables 'Desktop' and 'Notebook'

Google says it's focusing more energy on its upstart social network, Google+.

Google announced that it is discontinuing several other services, including Desktop and Notebook, as well as a few apps.

Facebook Preparing 'Translate' Button?

It looks like it may be getting easier for Facebook users to maintain an international circle of friends.

InsideFacebook.com is reporting that the social networking site is currently testing a "Translate" button which would instantly convert users' comments.

As of now, only a few languages including Spanish, French, Hebrew and Chinese are being supported.
