New Facebook scams center on Casey Anthony and video chat service.

July 11, 2011— -- In today's TechBytes, a warning for Facebook users. There are new scams on the social network.

The first is disguised as a video of Casey Anthony confessing to her attorney. The second offers an app for Facebook's new video chat. No app is needed.

Users are being advised not to click on either of these links.

Spotify

The popular European music streaming service Spotify may launch later this week in the U.S.

The service boasts instant access to millions of tracks, and works on both computers and mobile devices.

It's free with ads, or you can pay a monthly fee to skip the plugs.

Cosmo For Guys

Cosmopolitan magazine is going after a new demographic with an iPad app. Next month, it will start selling CFG -- Cosmo For Guys.

It'll advise young men on everything from dating etiquette to sexual preferences.

Apparently, the magazine has long had a following among men. As the editor puts it, it's like having the opposite team's playbook.
