TechBytes: Sony Hacked . . . Again

Group responsible for PBS hack posts customers' info.

June 3, 2011 — -- In today's TechBytes, another major data breach at Sony. This time, it's the Sony Pictures website. The same group that hacked the PBS website last weekend stole passwords, email addresses and birth dates of more than a million Sony customers.

PlayStation Store Re-opens

Sony's online PlayStation store is open for business again, as is the music download service. Those operations were shut down in April after hackers stole customer data. Returning customers will find some welcome-back freebies.

Groupon IPO

The coupon website Groupon has filed to go public, hoping to raise as much as $750 million. But Groupon has been racking up big losses, and Google and Facebook are both getting ready to enter the online coupon business.

Texting Books
