Sept. 23, 2011— -- In today's TechBytes, major changes at Facebook.

Founder Mark Zuckerberg announced new ways for users to listen to music and watch TV, sometimes in sync with their friends.

Another new feature is "Timeline," which gives users more control over their profiles.

Facebook is rolling out changes gradually, so not all 800 million users see all the updates at once.

Google Wallet

Earlier this week, Google launched its new Wallet app, which lets users pay for items by just pointing and tapping their cell phones.

USA Today's Ed Baig tested the new app and was impressed with how easy it was to use.

"Once you type in your PIN number for security purposes, you merely take the phone, tap it against the register [a register that accepts MasterCard PayPass] and voila, a second or so later, your transaction has been complete," said Baig.

As of now, "Google Wallet" only works with MasterCard, but Visa, American Express and Discover are expected to be added soon.
