— -- Visitors to the New York site of 9/11 now can view real-time images of construction of a memorial and share their stories of the day terrorists attacked the World Trade Center.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum opened a preview site Wednesday. It displays a model of the memorial and museum and helps visitors "participate" in its creation, memorial/museum president Joe Daniels says.

The public also can pledge to do good deeds via 911dayofservice.org and nycservice.org. The preview site is at Vesey Street, between Broadway and Church streets in Manhattan. The memorial is due in 2011, the museum in 2012. For more information, visit national911memorial.org.
