— -- Once the weather drops below zero, roller coasters and water slides seem like distant memories. Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells hopes that frostbitten Midwesterners will exchange their snow gear for bathing suits and T-shirts, as it adds an indoor theme park today.

The 110,000-square-foot addition includes a six-story Ferris wheel, a multilevel go-cart track, a carousel, bowling alley, laser tag and ropes course. It joins the resort's other indoor diversions, which include a water park (billed as the USA's largest), three shopping outlets, eight restaurants, a spa, 742 guest rooms and 100,000-square-foot convention center.

Tickets cost $19.95 for resort guests and $29.95 for non-resort guests. Information: 877-525-2427, kalahariresorts.com/wi.
