The Metropolitan Museum brings out American art again

— -- The Metropolitan Museum of Art's American Wing reopens Tuesday in New York after a two-year renovation. The wing, home to a collection of American ceramics, sculptures, stained glass, silver, pewter, glass, jewelry and architectural elements, includes the museum's balcony galleries, historic rooms and the Charles Engelhard Court.

The museum is open Fridays and Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Sundays and Tuesdays-Thursdays 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Suggested admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students and free for children under 12. Information: 212-535-7710, metmuseum.org.
