Adorable Abandoned Kitten Appears to Have a Mustache
The abandoned kitten has received a lot of attention for her mustache.
— -- A kitten rescued in California appears to have a mustache due to her adorably unusual fur coloring.
The three-month-old kitten was apparently abandoned in a Salvation Army donation bin in Fresno, California. She was later rescued by Cat House on the Kings, a cat rescue organization and shelter.
"It looked like somebody dropped her overnight at a drop-box at the Salvation Army, so they heard her crying and then they called us," Tammy Barker, assistant shelter director for Cat House on the Kings, told ABC News. "They said she was really friendly and that every time someone walked into the door she was starving so she would run up to everyone."
"Fresno has one of the highest kill rates in the whole United States for cats, so she could have very easily been euthanized [if Cat House on the Kings had not intervened]," Barker said. Barker described the kitten as "very friendly and very happy" despite being "starving and a little dirty" when she first arrived at the shelter.
Named Sally Ann by shelter staff, the kitten has received medical treatment and food, but has yet to find a home and is up for adoption.
