— -- The man who allegedly spent several days hiding under a bed in a New Jersey home has been identified by the homeowner as her daughter's former boyfriend.

Margaret Adamcewicz told ABC station WABC-TV in New York that the man identified by police as Jason Hubbard had dated her daughter five years ago, though the relationship did not end well.

ABC News has been unable to reach Adamcewicz.

Jason Hubbard allegedly entered the home on Ellenel Boulevard in Spotswood, where police said he also charged all four of his cellphones from an electrical outlet he found while under the bed. Authorities now say he may have been there for up to five days, WABC reported.

Hubbard allegedly slipped into the home while the Middlesex County homeowner was taking out the garbage, and remained under the bed undetected until the homeowner heard a sound from the daughter’s bedroom, the Spotswood Police Department said in a news release.

The family called 911 after checking under the bed and allegedly discovering Hubbard, police say.Adamcewicz told ABC News she doesn't believe Hubbard had been eating, though he did have water under the bed.

Hubbard was charged with criminal trespassing, burglary, and theft of services (the electrical current he used to charge his phones.)

Police officials declined to provide any additional information about Hubbard or the status of the case beyond what was in their news release. Public records show that Hubbard is in jail in Middlesex County, but jail officials declined to provide any information.
