With winter storm watches, warnings and advisories in effect from the mid-Atlantic to New England, millions of Americans are hunkering down indoors to wait out the wild weather.

Some 3,000 flights were canceled Monday as the storm is expected to bring as much as two feet or more of snow from New Jersey to Maine.

An additional 3,951 flights have been cancelled for Tuesday and that number is expected to rise, according to FlightAware.com.
