-- A New Jersey police officer saved a man apparently attempting to commit suicide by grabbing him as he attempted to jump off a bridge Monday morning, police said.
Once he got there, Bogert tried to calm the man, who was visibly upset and crying, police said. Seconds later, dashboard camera video shows Bogert chasing after the man as he runs to the concrete barrier in an apparent attempt to jump off the bridge.
"Don't [expletive] do it," Bogert yelled as he sprinted after the man.
With the man's upper body halfway across the barrier, Bogert managed to grab him and pull him to safety.
"What's going on?" Bogert can be heard asking the man as he cries.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, police said.
