— -- In the heart of New York City is a miniature world called Gulliver's Gate. ABC News got a unique view of the new attraction before its opening day.

Michael Langer, a co-founder and the VP of development for the project, called the undertaking massive. It started with $20,000 from a Kickstarter campaign in May 2014. He and the project's other co-founder, Eiran Gazit, said they were inspired by the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, and dreamed of bringing far corners of the world within reach of the public.

According to Langer, they will continue to develop the now–$40 million project and add scenes that will represent other parts of the world.
