— -- Sources tell ABC News that a prison worker named Joyce Mitchell has been questioned by investigators in their probe into the dramatic escape of two convicted murderers at an upstate New York penitentiary.

According to state records Mitchell works as an industrial training supervisor at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, where the two convicted murderers escaped Saturday morning.

Mitchell has worked at Clinton Correctional since 2010, according to the records, and supervises inmate work assignments.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Correction declined to comment.

Sources tell ABC News Mitchell was questioned yesterday. This afternoon, ABC News was turned away by local police from Mitchell’s house about an hour away from the maximum-security lockup.

Inmates Richard Matt and David Sweat were reported missing from the prison Saturday morning after making a dramatic escape that included cutting through steel pipes.

New York State is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to their apprehension and arrest.
