Indiana's controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act will not be changing, despite critics saying it allows business owners to discriminate against members of the LGBT community, state Gov. Mike Pence said today during an exclusive interview on ABC's "This Week."

Pence described the media coverage and opposition to the law as "shameless rhetoric," saying the law strengthens the foundation of First Amendment rights rather than discriminates.

"We're not going to change the law," he said, "but if the general assembly in Indiana sends me a bill that adds a section that reiterates and amplifies and clarifies what the law really is and what it has been for the last 20 years, then I'm open to that."

Twenty-three passengers and crew members on board an A320 Air Canada flight were hospitalized today when the plane experienced a hard landing at the Halifax international airport.

The plane, incoming from Toronto, hit the ground 1,100 feet before the start of the runway, lost its landing gear and skidded off the runway early Sunday local time, said Halifax Stanfield International Airport spokesman Peter Spurway. He said the pilots were in control of the plane up until the hard landing.

All but one of the injured passengers had been released from the hospital as of Sunday afternoon, according to Air Canada.

A Pennsylvania state trooper critically injured in a sniper attack six months ago by accused cop killer Eric Frein said Saturday he feels he will "eventually be able to go back" to his old job.

On Sept. 12, 2014, state trooper Alex Douglass was shot in the pelvis during Frein's ambush, which took place during a late-night shift change at the State Police barracks in Blooming Grove, Pennsylvania.

Douglass has undergone 16 surgeries and has another one scheduled in April, he told ABC News affiliate WNEP-TV Saturday at a road naming ceremony for Cpl. Bryon Dickson, who died in the attack.

Last week, Jolie revealed in a New York Times op-ed her decision to have a preventative surgery that removed her ovaries and Fallopian tubes after doctors discovered she tested positive for signs of early ovarian cancer. Her mother died from the same type of cancer in 2007.
