1. Navy Yard Shooting Suspect Only Gunman in Rampage: Officials
Investigators believe Aaron Alexis, a former Navy reservist, was the lone gunman in the shooting spree at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C. in which 13 people were killed, including the suspect.

2. Eighth Death Blamed on Colorado Flooding
An eighth person in Colorado has died and more than 600 people are unaccounted for in the ferocious flooding and relentless rain ravaging communities across the state, according to officials.

3. Obama Authorizes Chemical Weapons Aid to Syria
President Obama has formally authorized American shipments to Syria of non-lethal equipment and supplies specifically aimed at countering the threat of President Bashar al-Assad's chemical weapons as the world waits for them to be neutralized.

4. Shipwrecked Concordia Hauled Upright Off Italy
The Costa Concordia cruise ship was pulled completely upright where it capsized last year off Tuscany's coast.

5. Cyrus, Hemsworth End Engagement
