1. Paternity Test Reveals Long-Lost Michigan Father And Son Not Related

A paternity test has revealed that a long-lost father and son in Michigan, reunited a few weeks ago, are not biologically related.

Tony Trapani, 81, and Samuel Childress, 61, had an emotional reunion after Trapani discovered a letter in which Childress' mother claimed Trapani had a son he didn't know about, ABC News reported.

After finding out Trapani had a zero percent chance of being his father, Childress said he was shocked -- but their new father-son bond can't be broken.

2. Metro-North Service Resumes Amid Investigation Into Deadly Collision

Metro-North train service resumed this morning at the site of Tuesday’s deadly collision between an SUV and passenger train, an accident that killed the SUV’s driver and five passengers.

Service had been shut down in the area around the crash site, which happened near Valhalla on the service’s Harlem Line.

Some 400 feet of the electrified third rail sliced through the train’s first car following the collision, burning the interior of the car and killing five passengers, the head of the National Transportation Safety Board investigation said Wednesday.

3. TransAsia Tragedy: Relatives of Victims Pray at Crash Site

Relatives of some of the 31 people killed in Wednesday's TransAsia Airways tragedy in Taiwan arrived at the crash site Thursday, paying their respects to the lives lost.

The relatives stood along the bank of the Keelung River, praying. Some people cried as they viewed the wreckage for the first time.

Search crews worked to remove the remaining bodies from the river Thursday, but visibility in the water was reduced, with mud and a fast current making it difficult to establish a search grid. Twenty people remain missing, with 15 others injured in the accident.

4. Juror Screening to Begin for 'American Sniper' Murder Trial

Juror screening is scheduled to begin today in the trial for Eddie Ray Routh, the Marine veteran accused of shooting Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the central character of the blockbuster movie “American Sniper.”

Kyle – who’s widely recognized for having made the highest number of confirmed kills in American military history – was fatally shot at a gun range in Texas in 2013. Another man, his friend Chad Littlefield, was also killed.

About 800 potential jurors have been summoned for possible selection in the trial, based off the expectation that only about half will show up. From that jury pool, the judge and attorneys will select 12 jurors and two alternates.

5. Hannah Davis Graces the Cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue
