— -- A tractor crash during a parade in Versailles, Ohio, sent four people -- including three children -- to the hospital Saturday.

A tractor malfunctioned at the Poultry Days festival when the driver lost control of his vehicle, which drove into the spectators at approximately 11:30 a.m., ABC affiliate WKEF-TV reported,

"He accidentally popped the clutch on the tractor, and when he did it took off on him," said Dan Didier, who was operating a car in in front of the tractor. "He cranked the wheel just in time, missing the back of this car by about five foot."

Three children and one adult were taken to different hospitals, according to officials. The injured were reported to be recovering as of Saturday evening.

"Our biggest concern right now is the family and hopes for a speedy recovery," said Brian Pearson, the festival's chairman. "Our thoughts and prayers are definitely out there with them."
