A woman in labor -- who had been driving herself to the hospital -- gave birth on the side of a Utah highway.
Devi Ostler, 32, was on her way to the Brigham City Hospital on Saturday when her water broke, the Utah Department of Public Safety said.
She called 911 and when the dispatcher "realized the woman was not going to make it to the hospital," she told her to pull over, according to the Department of Public Safety.
A police officer and Utah Highway Patrol trooper responded, and the trooper delivered a healthy baby.
Ostler and her newborn son were taken to the hospital.
The trooper said this was his first time delivering a baby, according to the Department of Public Safety.
