Dec. 28, 2009— -- The botched attempt to detonate a bomb on board a trans-Atlantic flight Friday has once again lead to heightened security at airports. That means longer security lines and more passengers subjected to a second round of intense screening. In some cases, passengers will not be allowed to get up from their seats during the final hours of their flight.

The 23-year-old Nigerian man now in custody for allegedly carrying out the attempted attack was on a terrorist watch list, but he still passed through security, carrying explosives.

Our question of the day: Do you think heightened security measures will be what it takes to avert another terrorist attack?
