ICYMI: Red is trending for fall.

This season's "it" color is showing up across multiple categories, from dresses and workwear to casual knitwear, and of course, accessories.

"Good Morning America" tapped beauty-lover, fashion expert and content creator Jeneé Naylor to help us prepare for the trend and its impact on our wardrobes.

Jeneé Naylor on red trending for fall

The good news? Naylor says it will be easy to participate in the red trend.

"I'm so excited that red is a trending color this fall! Red is one of those colors that, although it can be bold and 'loud,' is actually pretty easy to incorporate into your wardrobe," Naylor tells "GMA" in an email.

Not only does red pair well with neutrals, Naylor says, but "there's truly a shade of red for every skin tone."

How to style red for fall

What are fun ways to style red clothing and accessories? Naylor says it's all about texture and combining different shades.

"I would suggest looking for interesting textures, especially as we go into the winter months, so that you can add some depth and dimension to your outfit. Look for fun textured knits, fringe pieces, or anything with some type of applique (sequins, embroidery, etc.)," she says. "Monochromatic outfits are always a fun way to play with colors in general and can help you explore different shades of red."

Recently, Naylor wore a monochromatic red look for Milan Fashion Week: her shoes, Ferragamo handbag and vintage Chanel suit were all a matching shade of bold red.

Naturally, as with most trends, we also want to consider how to shop in a way that will outlast the current moment. Naylor suggests finding your wardrobe staples in your favorite shade of red.

"Sticking to classic shapes and timeless pieces that align with your style is always the best way to go," she says. "For instance, if you like more tailored pieces or appreciate workwear, you can invest in a classic, red blazer or pump to leverage as a staple piece. If you have a more edgy style, maybe you can invest in a quality, go-to red leather jacket. Or if you're more of a casual person, you can look for a cool graphic tee with hints of red, or an oversized cardigan."

Staying on budget

Naylor says accessories are a great way to lean into the trend "without breaking the bank." Think jewelry, handbags, or, as Naylor has planned, consider incorporating red into your makeup looks.

Naylor plans to accessorize with red this year. She says she started wearing the trend last fall and winter, and this year, she's "excited to find subtle ways to add pops of color into my fall/winter looks for extra boldness."

"For instance, adding a red lip during those lazy makeup days is the easiest way to incorporate this trend, all while elevating your look."
