— -- intro: Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) just introduced new products to its line of Kindle and Fire devices that are available for preorder Wednesday, including the first Fire device made for children.

The new Fire mobile devices will come with Fire OS 4. Called "Sangria," the new features include cloud services like unlimited storage for photos taken on Fire devices. The operating system will be available as a free update for all third-generation Fire tablets. Fire OS 4 will become available on Fire phone early next year, the tech company said.

Amazon calls the device a "real tablet" and "not a toy."

The Federal Trade Commission brought charges against Amazon and Apple this year for allowing unauthorized in-app purchases. Amazon said at the time that it had fixed the issues it had discussed with the FTC and was "disappointed" with the charges.
