Five-and-a-half month-old Emerson is the Internet's latest superstar in diapers.

In a YouTube video that has gone viral, Emerson watches his mom Karen blow her nose, reacting with a mix of pure joy and sheer horror.

"I was sick, really sick for about a week and kept blowing my nose," Emerson's mom Karen told "Good Morning America" (she did not want to use her last name to protect her family's privacy). "I thought, wow this is funny so I grabbed a video camera and recorded it."

The 59-second video recorded on March 14 shows only Emerson on camera as his mother blows her nose off camera; Emerson responds with a look of fear, but then his face lights up with laughter.

"Obviously, he was really scared," said Karen. "But afterwards he was laughing so I knew he was ok."

Karen only made the video for family and friends, but now Emerson is a full blown viral sensation -- receiving over 9 millions views on the original video titled "Emerson -- Mommy's Nose is Scary!"

The video posted on YouTube, the first video Karen ever uploaded to the video sharing site, now carries "Ads by Google," with proceeds going towards an education fund for Emerson.

Don't look for anymore nose-blowing reaction videos from Emerson; his mother says he's used to the nose blowing now and isn't scared anymore.

Before YouTube, if a proud parent wanted to share their baby's laughter with the masses, they would send a video to "America's Funniest Home Videos."

But in 2005, YouTube came along, making it easier for babies to go viral and get millions of hits.

Over 2 million people have watched baby Embry dance her blues away to "Dogs Days Are Over' by Florence and the Machine and more than 12 million have watched baby Micah laugh hysterically to his father simply ripping up paper.

One of the most viewed videos ever on YouTube also involves a baby. The video "Charlie Bit My Finger," showing Harry Davies-Carr getting his finger bitten by his baby brother Charlie Davies-Carr has garnered nearly 300 million views online.
