'Bachelor' Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell Enjoy Their 'First Date' in New York City
The two toasted with champagne, of course.
— -- They may be engaged, but "Bachelor" Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell had yet to go on an official first date until recently.
To mark the occasion, the couple toasted with champagne during a romantic dinner at Landmarc in New York City.
Both reality TV stars posted photos from the outing to their respective Instagram pages.
"FIRST DATE," Bushnell captioned her snap, "[and] many more to come."
Added Higgins on his picture, which also featured the restaurant's chef, Marc Murphy: "First date success!"
Higgins, 27, who proposed to Bushnell with a 4.25 carat Neil Lane engagement ring, said on "Good Morning America" Tuesday that he'd planned the date as a surprise for Bushnell, though he did not reveal the details at the time. For the couple, going public with their relationship has been freeing.
"I’m looking forward to just starting a normal life," Bushnell gushed on "GMA." "We’ve been engaged but secretly for the last few weeks and so I’m excited to go on a date."
