'Bachelor in Paradise' Star J.J. Lane Reveals What Happened After He Left the Show
Did he win back the woman he dumped before the show?
— -- On last night's episode of "Bachelor in Paradise," J.J. Lane removed himself from competition so that he could pursue an ex-girlfriend back home.
However, it seems that things with her didn't work out the way he'd hoped.
"Unfortunately not," he tweeted when asked if he was able to pursue a relationship with his ex. "The show (Bachelorette) and all that comes with it took a heavy toll."
"I struck out but went down swinging at least," he later added.
Lane, 30, is a former investment banker and the divorced father of one. He was first featured on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of "The Bachelorette," and last night, saved Ashley S. from elimination before excusing himself.
"It was genuine bro," he tweeted of his dramatic departure last night. "I had no clue it would air with music or that I would ever be portrayed as a hero."
