— -- Getting eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" wasn't easy on Chris Soules.

However, the former "Bachelor" star admitted that part of him is happy to be done with reality TV for a while.

"There's nothing I want more than just to be a normal dude back in Iowa," he told ABC News after the elimination. "I'm really looking forward to that."

Shortly after the finale of "The Bachelor" aired a few months ago, the farmer from Arlington, Iowa, immediately began training for "DWTS." A life on television, he said, is not what he wants.

"The spotlight isn't something I asked for," he said. "It was an awesome experience and it was more than I could have ever expected, but... there's a lot of upside to going back and getting back to work [on the farm]."

And maybe wedding planning too? Soules is currently engaged to Whitney Bischoff, whom he met on "The Bachelor."
