Adam Levine Offered to Pay for Christina Grimmie's Funeral
People have also donated $153,000 to a GoFundMe page for Grimmie's family.
— -- The New Jersey town in which Christina Grimmie grew up will hold a candlelight vigil for her tonight.
Evesham Township Mayor Randy Brown says the vigil will be held at 8:45 p.m. ET at the town's Memorial Complex in Marlton, New Jersey.
Grimmie, 22, was shot and killed Friday night in Orlando, Florida, while she was signing autographs following a concert with her band, Before You Exit. The former YouTube star was best known as a contestant on "The Voice," where she placed third during the show’s sixth season in 2014.
Grimmie's manager, Brian Teefey, has created a GoFundMe page "to assist her family in their time of need." Teefey is also Selena Gomez's stepfather, and both he and Selena were very close to Christina.
"They did nothing but love her and support her as family the best they knew how," Teefey writes of Grimmie's family, adding, "The only worry I want them to have at this point is that of recovery."
As of 12 p.m. Monday, the page had raised more than $153,000. The initial goal was $4,000.
Christina's brother Marcus Grimmie took to Facebook to write, "Words cannot express...literally I have no words ... all I can say is thank you. And Christina will be missed and never ever forgotten."
He mentioned the funds would help his family "move out of our current house and to take care of the funeral."
According to Marcus, "The Voice" co-star Adam Levine personally called his mother and offered to pay for the funeral.
Levine's rep confirmed the sweet gesture to ABC News. The Maroon 5 front man also took to Twitter earlier this weekend to write, "Behati and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie’s death. Our hearts go out to her family."
