'Dancing With the Stars' Switch Up Pairings Revealed
Each star is paired with a new professional dancer.
— -- "Dancing With the Stars" is mixing it up.
The ABC show's annual "Switch Up Night" is back where each celebrity is paired with a new professional dancer, and the full lineup of couples was revealed today exclusively on “Good Morning America.”
"GMA" meteorologist Ginger Zee, who is normally matched up with pro Val Chmerkovskiy, will dance the salsa with Mark Ballas.
Val Chmerkovskiy will take a turn dancing with "Full House" actress Jodie Sweetin.
Chmerkovskiy's older brother, former "DWTS" champion Maks Chmerkovskiy will return as a special guest judge for the night. Making Chmerkovskiy's return to the ballroom even more dramatic is the fact he will be judging not only his brother, but also his fiancee, pro Peta Murgatroyd, in the ballroom. Maks Chmerkovskiy says he will stay impartial.
“We share a household for the time being, but, you know, it’s funny because they go to their jobs. I do my thing. We don’t really talk about these things,” Chmerkovskiy said Monday on "GMA." “When they ask me a question and want advice, I certainly give it but I kind of, like, stay in back."
Murgatroyd will team up with football legend Doug Flutie instead of her usual partner, Nyle DiMarco. DiMarco, who is deaf, has wowed judges with his ability to stayed synced with Murgatroyd despite not being able to hear the music. Next week, he will dance with pro Sharna Burgess.
