— -- Hailee Steinfeld has long been considered a core member of Taylor Swift’s squad: The 19-year-old was featured in the “Bad Blood” video, after all.

But in a new cover story with Seventeen magazine, the actress/singer admits the two aren’t as close as you might think.

"I think people think we spend a lot more time together than we actually do!" she said. "She's amazing though."

Steinfeld also opened up about how she was bullied when she was younger. Steinfeld said that she used to get prank calls to her house every morning and that people would slam her locker shut as she was putting books into it.

“It was just the most absurd things that you are supposed to see only in the movies,” she said.

Now, she's in the movies. Her next film, "Edge of Seventeen," comes out Sept. 30. In the meantime, she’s hard at work on her debut album.

"I want to make the best first album I can possibly make," she says. "And I want to get to a level where I can headline my own arena tour. I know that I can make it happen. It's just the beginning. I see the future being really big."
