— -- Howie Mandel was a victim of a toilet paper prank of epic proportions.

The stunt was the brainchild of professional prankster Roman Atwood, who also happens to be a friend of the "America's Got Talent" judge.

To pull off the prank, Atwood had over four thousand rolls of toilet paper trucked to Mandel's home in a L.A. gated community, while the comic wasn't home. Atwood and his crew then proceeded to completely cover Mandel's mansion.

The whole thing was caught on camera, including Mandel's reaction when he returned home. The TV personality's initial shock and anger turned to laughter when he learned who was behind the prank.

In an additional behind-the-scenes video, Atwood admits he never toilet papered a house before and says he was able to talk Mandel's wife Terry and their son Alex into playing along.

As for why he chose Mandel, Atwood explained: "He's also a legendary prankster and it's always good to prank a prankster."
