Iggy Azalea Announces Tour Cancellation
Tour was scheduled to begin Sept. 18 in San Diego.
— -- Fans who were hoping to see Iggy Azalea onstage this fall might have to wait a little longer.
On Friday, the Australian rapper announced on Twitter that she is canceling her "Great Escape Tour," which was scheduled to begin Sept. 18 in San Diego, Billboard reported.
Those who had purchased tickets were notified by email about the cancellation. According to The New York Times, the statement said, “There will be a new tour planned around Iggy’s new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience,” and that tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.
The tour was originally slated for this past spring but was postponed for the fall because of “tour production delays," the Times reported.
Azalea recently collaborated with Britney Spears on the song “Pretty Girls.”
