Kesha 'Beyond Words in Gratitude' for Fans' Support
The singer claimed she was sexually abused by Dr. Luke. He has denied it.
— -- Kesha says she is "beyond words in gratitude" for the support she's received in her ongoing legal battle with music producer Dr. Luke, whom she claims abused her in the past.
The singer posted a photo of herself on Instagram Tuesday evening, and wrote, "I am beyond words in gratitude. thank you is not enough but it is all I have. a million times over and forever thank you. the support I have received has left my face swollen from tears. I love you all so much."
She promised that "a statement too large for this format is coming...."
On Friday, a New York judge denied her request for a preliminary injunction that would have released her from her contract with Sony and Dr. Luke. Since then, several musicians have voiced their support for her on Twitter, including Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Lorde, Sara Bareilles and Kelly Clarkson.
In addition, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to assist her.
Dr. Luke, whose birth name is Lukasz Gottwald, has denied the sexual abuse allegations, tweeting on Monday, "I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her."
"Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister," he continued. "Kesha and I made a lot of songs together and it was often good but there were creative differences at times. It's sad that she would turn a contract negotiation into something so horrendous and untrue."
