The Nicholas Sparks romantic story "The Choice" debuted in fifth place, with $6.1 million, followed by "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," which premiered with $5.2 million.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" reached two more milestones over the weekend. It surpassed the $900 million mark at the domestic box office and $2 billion globally. It was released in December by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
