Miami Heat star spends $9 million on the 20,000 square-foot property.

Dec. 9, 2010— -- LeBron James, the basketball star, has bought a mansion in Coconut Grove, Fla., for $9 million, according to the Washington Post.

The Miami Heat star's new home sits on 20,000 square feet of property and has six bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, a pool, home theater, library and docking space for two 60-foot yachts.

James had previously looked in New York City at a $13 million townhouse (formerly Billy Joel's), as well as an apartment on Columbus Circle, the New York Daily News reports.

In September, James' teammate, power forward Chris Bosh, spent $12.5 million on a 12,000-square foot, seven-bedroom home in Miami Beach.
