Why Len Goodman Is Taking Time Off 'Dancing With the Stars'
Don't worry "Dancing" fans, he'll be back!
— -- "Dancing With the Stars" judge Len Goodman will be absent for the next couple of weeks, as he heads to Britain to judge another show, "Strictly Come Dancing."
Goodman, 72, spoke about the time off last night.
"It's difficult to fly every week there and back. I'm going to miss it because I've enjoyed so much watching the progression," he said, according to People magazine's recap. "But I'm going to be well-informed of what's going on. Make sure that – it's a ballroom dancing competition, it's not all about razzle dazzle. Show us some proper ballroom dancing."
Host Tom Bergeron calmed the crowd by saying Goodman will be back "in a few weeks."
After Goodman announced his departure, Rick Perry and his professional partner, Emma Slater, were sent packing for good last night.
Perry told "Good Morning America" today that he "walked into this not knowing how to dance," adding that his time on the show is something "I will not ever forget.”
